New ERCU year begins on Tuesday, Nov. 1

Granted, it’s not already January 1, but a new year is beginning on November 1, when the 2022-23 ERCU racing year officially begins.

This means that it’s time to begin registering your boats and renewing your membership in the club. You can do both with a fillable form that’s been added to the website (and make payment for your fees online via PayPal), or by downloading a fillable PDF and mailing it, with a check or money order to get yourself set for the new year.

As a reminder, current members have their current registrations “protected” until January 2, 2023 as a motivation to get renewals taken care of. After January 2 boat registrations that have not been renewed will be made available on a first-come-first-served basis for anyone to register.

A couple of changes have been made for the 2022-23 season, as well and they officially go into effect on November 1.

• Jim McKeon will take over for Ron Daum as the club’s treasurer/registrar
• Paxton Reunanen has joined the club’s board of directors and will serve in the at large director position

Our first ERCU Winter Meeting of the new year is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 on Zoom. We’ll soon be sending an agenda and further information to the full membership, so keep an eye on your emails and your social media. Please plan to join us for this meeting as we begin to get ready for the upcoming season, which will be here before we know it.
