Nominations for ERCU Board Elections Open now

It is, again, the time of year when ERCU begins the process to elect members of its board of directors.

The first step, of course, is nominating ERCU members to run for election. As such, there is a nomination form posted on the club’s website. Nominations have now closed. Club members may nominate another member, or themselves, to be added to the board ballot.

Nominations will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31. Nominations can also be made in person at the Detroit Memorial Regatta in Lacey.

On Sunday, Aug. 31, an online ballot will be posted on the club’s website to select three to serve on the seven-person board. Those with expiring terms this year are Jim McKeon, Paxton Reunanen and Jerry Dunlap (currently serving the remainder of Bill Mowatt’s term).

If a member prefers a paper ballot, one may be requested during the ERCU Gold Cup on September 14-15 in Lacey, or by mail. Voting will close at 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, and the election results will be announced shortly thereafter.
